Pump Corrosive Chemicals
UK based manufacturers of industrial cleaning and maintenance chemicals have been using the Flotronic 'One Nut' Air-Operated Double-Diaphragm Pump for nearly twelve years at the heart of their process.
Three pumps are in operation in their manufacturing area, they are using the 500 series polypropylene double diaphragm pump with PTFE / Teflon diaphragms and elastomers. One 1½″ pump is used to transfer detergent based vehicle shampoos with a viscosity of around 1,000 cp. It has a flooded suction and 5 metre head with a flowrate of 4,500lts/hr. Two 2″ portable AODD pumps are used to transfer very viscous gels, up to 100,000 cps from mixing tanks to 25/30 litre containers.
