We’ve developed patented pump features that are longer lasting, more cost effective and easy-to-maintain to withstand the unique challenges of meat and poultry processing.
Pumps for Meat and Poultry Industry
Meat and poultry processing has its unique challenges. When dealing with the various volumes and viscosities associated with these processes, you need positive displacement (PD) pumps that are reliable and perform under the toughest conditions. You also want a simple and easily reassembled pump after cleaning out of place (COP). No matter the meat or poultry product, successful processing requires a pump with low shear and consistent throughput.
We work with our meat and poultry customers to understand their specific needs. Our innovative PD lobe and gear pumps are precision-engineered in all stainless steel and feature a compact design that delivers smooth, low-shear performance while maintaining product integrity. Our PD pump solutions were designed specifically with meat and poultry processing in mind to create a simplified operation without sacrificing quality or consistency.
Our Flotronic 3” and 4” AODD pumps are ideal for poultry applications where plants are transferring chicken breasts, feet, gizzards, etc. For pumping large solids, so we offer Standard Pump Flapper Check AODD and EODD pumps that can handle solids up to 3.8.” The Standard Pump Electric (EODD) pumps offer a quiet and economical solution (electricity is less expensive than air).
Features and Benefits
Our hygienic design pumps excel in the meat and poultry industries and provide many benefits:
- Flat, crevice-free front cover that eliminates product dead zones
- CIP and COP capability
- Compact design
- Horizontal or vertical mounting versatility
- Eliminates pump and motor alignment issues
- Safe design with no accessible moving parts
Uniquely developed to batch food ingredients directly from drums and kettles. The system is constructed with polished stainless steel and designed with Tri-Clamp® fittings for quick knockdown and cleaning. Ideal for hygienic applications where precision batching is required.
EODD pumps combine the advantages of an air-operated double diaphragm pump (AODD) and the energy efficiency of an electric motor. EODD pumps can operate against a closed valve, run dry and produce very little noise. Additionally, the pumps can operate in a “low pulsation” mode.
